Today has been the BEST CAMPAIGN DAY ever! Whomever thought of gtalk is a genius. And should be fired immediately. Gtalk decreases my productivity by at least 5.73% on any given day. Though, today (the best campaign day ever), has been extremely productive because of it. So, I guess 5.73% is really more like 1.2%. Without further ado, let's get started...
5) I woke up with a revelation (and a slight headache from the McFadden's gathering) -- "Vote for Mee, Jenny Lee" not only included incorrect spelling, it was so kitschy I might as well have named myself Bennifer or TomKat...
4) Acronym-mania. I finally nailed down the acronym for my campaign platform. From the Cohort 2 Weekly Deliverables Document (COW'D), I birthed a CALF (don't worry, it wasn't that painful). Before this calf came out, there were a number of other extremely clever (and not always appropriate) acronyms, including: BARN, DOG, MILK, Udder, Mad COW'd, and MILF. Yes, MILF (it was a close second).
3) I had a killer campaign brainstorm (on gtalk, of course) with Vanessa Ting (rockstar co-prez of the GMA)! The birth of this blog was because of MSB's very own VTing. Sure, she knocked down some of my ideas, but in the end, what you have is an almost-entertaining blog. What blog topic ideas did she knock, you ask? Well, one about the length of a certain professor's tie. And another about the girl who was walking around campus alone at 3 a.m. and got whistled at (but not injured) by a male who was between the ages of 15 and 67. So when you get bored of this campaign chatter and want to hear the real campus dirt...go to VTing.
2) 1:14 p.m. Delicious lunch with old friends. I told them I was running for president, and they emphatically said that if they went to the MSB, they would vote for me. Dining with old friends didn't help my campaign, but it did give me garlic breathe...I mean...confidence.
1) Whew. I finished the draft of my official Letter of Intent. Jason Liptak (Cohort 1) took a big, fat, ugly red pen to it, and now it is complete. It's off to the press for your circular file. Post your comments and other random musings right here on this blog!
That closes up my list for tonight. As you see, thanks to gtalk, today was the best campaign day ever!
Logging off (for at least two minutes), Jenny Lee.
